Calling for the International Volunteers of the May 18 Memorial Foundation
Dear friends!
We, the May 18 Memorial Foundation, are in the middle of recruiting the international volunteers of the May 18 Memorial Foundation. We are waiting for the passionate young students who are willing to join us and make 2011 prosperous.
What the May 18 Memorial Foundation International Volunteers do
ü International volunteers will join us with other local volunteers and share experiences participating our annual events such as Gwangju Asian Forum, Gwangju Asian Human Rights Folk school, Gwangju Prize for Human Rights, Special Concert for Gwangju Prize for Human rights, May 18 Youth Festival, May 18 Youth Theater Play Competition, Youth Summer Camp, etc.
ü They will also have a great opportunity to learn about democracy and human rights by the special lecture on human rights and democracy, NGO visiting Programme and to have a better understanding in Korean culture interacting with local students.
Privilege
ü International volunteers are to receive the certificate from the May 18 Memorial Foundation after successfully completing their activities at the end of the year.
ü International volunteers who have actively participated in the volunteering at the Foundation are given the chance to be sent to the Foundation’s network organizations (NGOs in other Asia, America) next year and will be supported financially by the Foundation and accomplish their work as the Foundation’s international interns.
