The Commemorative Music Concert <When My Dream Comes True> is projected to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the May 18 Democratization Movement, to remember the history, struggles and dedication of Gwangju, and to be in unity with the world citizens aspiring for democracy. Through music it becomes a place of exchanges by breaking the boundaries between professional and non-professional musicians living in Gwangju. 9 stages are prepared to make you feel the emotion and enthusiasm of 'the day' with various musical works such as 'People's Song' Flash mob which was sang by the citizens at that period, the piano piece 'Those Who Fought' to remember the victims, and 'Marching for our Beloved' sang in both Korean and English.
This event will be broadcasted on YouTube Live on Sunday, October 11th, 2020, at 5pm, without audience. And it can be viewed in real time on the GIC and the A.C.C. YouTube channel. We hope that you will attend the <When My Dream Comes True> Concert where both domestic and foreign citizens of Gwangju become one.
