Imjin River Hockey Game Recreation
In honour of the 50th Anniversary of Canada-Korea diplomatic relations the Canadian Embassy is organizing a re-enactment of hockey games played by Canadian soldiers on the frozen Imjin River during the KoreanWar. We would like to invite you to join us for the game on Sunday February 3, at 9:30 am at Seoul Plaza Outdoor Skating Rink in front of Seoul City Hall. The teams will be wearing the regimental colours of the Canadian teams which faced off on the ice of the Imjin River in 1952, almost 61 years to the day. We are also very proud to welcome olympic speed skating gold medalist Catriona Le May Doan, who will act as honourary referee for the game.
