UNESCO Master Class Gwangju Series
This Master Class program was started in 2019 by UNESCO Headquarters and is designed to inform and respond to the seriousness and reality of racism and discrimination. In this program participants not only participate in expert lectures, but also, after the event, practice actions to oppose discrimination in the community to which each participant belongs. Out of the teams participating in the Gwangju Series each year, the best team is given the opportunity to participate in the Paris Series the following year.

The Role of the Chair City
This city federation was officially launched at the “Urban Regional Conference for an Inclusive Urban Society” held in Bangkok, Thailand, in August 2006. Among the cities in the Asia-Pacific region, Gwangju Metropolitan City is carrying out various projects by entrusting the Gwangju International Center with the World Human Rights Cities Forum Secretariat, as Gwangju is the chair city.
Development of APCAD Inclusive City Markers
The GIC develops indicators to check the implementation level of each city's social inclusion policy and to discuss practical development plans to share the policy results of each city and promote networking for each city.
UNESCO International Coalition of Inclusive and Sustainable Cities (ICCAR)
Global Steering Committee
The Global Steering Committee was launched by UNESCO in 2004 in response to a call to build a common front for the global fight against racism. To this end, the secretariat of the World Human Rights Cities Forum, based at the Gwangju International Center, is serving as the vice-chair of the Global Steering Committee.
UNESCO Youth Boot Camp for Inclusive and Sustainable Cities
This UNESCO Youth Boot Camp selects youth representatives, the next generation of leaders, from each international city and trains them at an international site on the vision of UNESCO ICCAR. Participating young people around the world learn how to combat racism and discrimination through in-depth discussions with expert mentors.
