Call for GIC Citizen Choir Members 2022
The GIC Citizen Choir was founded by the Gwangju International Center in 2018. The choir was invited to the opening ceremony of the May Concert at the World Human Rights Cities Forum and the closing ceremony of the 70th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Conveying the spirit of Gwangju democracy, it is a choir that breathes new air with members from different cultures and backgrounds. If you share the same love for music, we invite you to join!

October 18, 2018 - Performed at the World Human Rights Cities Forum opening ceremony
November 23, 2018 - Performed at the GIC Clavile Regular Concert
December 06, 2018 - Performed at the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights closing ceremony
May 25, 2019 - Performed at the the 7th Gwangsan-gu World Food and Culture Festival
May 26, 2019 - Performed at the May Concert
November 2, 2019 - Performed at the GIC Citizens Choir 1st Regular Concert
October 11, 2020 - Performed at the 40th anniversary of the May 18 Democratic Movement

Recruitment Information
- Period: June 10, 2022 (Fri.) to June 24, 2022 (Fri.)
- Eligibility: Any Gwangju citizens who love music
- Application: Submit an online application, call or direct visit the GIC office
- Audition schedule: June 25, 2022 (Sat) 14:00
- Audition location: GIC Hall 1st Floor * 5 Jungang-ro 196beon-gil, Dong-gu, Gwangju
- How to audition: 1 song (free style)
※ Audition is conducted to assign parts for new members.
