Gwangju International Center – Turning 20

You are cordially invited to the 20th anniversary celebration of the Gwangju International Center (GIC)!

We are inviting our GIC members to celebrate our 20th anniversary. The GIC has played an important role in enhancing the international status of Gwangju, the city of human rights and culture, by providing services for Gwangju’s international as well as local residents, promoting cultural understanding, and exchange for two full decades.

The GIC has been making continued efforts to create many opportunities for our members, Korean and international alike, to not only benefit from our services, but also to take an active part to promote international exchange and deepened understanding. As a result, GIC has become a model for similar organizations around the country.

The GIC has been so successful thanks to the support from the more than 1,200 Gwangju citizens and international communities who volunteer their talents and donate financially. In the future, the GIC is planning to collaborate with additional local civic organizations to promote more exchanges and to exert additional efforts to make Gwangju an even more desirable place for local and international residents live and work and collaborate in harmony.
