광주국제교류센터

GIC Talk는 다양한 주제의 강좌를 통해 지역민과 거주 외국인이 상호 문화를 이해하고 소통하기 위한 공개강좌입니다. 2003년 9월 시작된 이 프로그램은 통역 없이 영어로 진행되며, 문화, 역사, 정치, 예술 등 다양한 주제로 강의가 이루어집니다.

제목 : 박물관의 새로운 의미 – 더 나은 세상을 위한 역할을 하다

연사 : Lee Aekyeong

당신은 박물관이나 미술관이 어떤 곳이라고 정의하시나요? 박물관 전문가들은, 박물관이 사회에서 일어나고 있는 변화들과 갈등에 대한 제 역할을 못하고 있다고 말했습니다. 박물관은 지금 미래를 위한 조취를 취하는데 도전하고 있습니다! 이번 토크에서는 박물관 정의에 대한 역사와, 박물관의 새로운 역할에 대해 이야기할 것 입니다!

제목 : 차이에 대한 관점 바꾸기, 안전한 공간 만들기, 책임감 기르기

차이는 가족들, 학교, 직장 그리고 사회생활 속에서 아주 많이 일어납니다. 우리는 매일 차이와 상호작용하며, 때로는 인식하지 못한 채, 때로는 판단하며 반응합니다. 어떻게 우리는 폭력의 대상이 되는 차이를 줄일 수 있을까요? 이번 토크에서는, 차이에 대해 안전함을 조성하는 전략과 차이에 대한 행동에서 개인적인 책임감을 갖게 하는 방법들이 논의될 것입니다.

제목 : 아랍 국가들에 대한 소개

많은 한국인들은 아랍세계에 대해 잘 알지 못합니다. 저는 언론이 아랍세계에 대해 만들어 놓은 오해를 해소하기 위해, 다른 측면에서 아랍 나라들을 설명할 것입니다. 또한 저는 아랍세계의 나라들을 구별하고, 아랍 나라들의 기본적인 특성들에 대해 말할 것입니다. 이번 토크에서는 “일반적인 소개”. “아랍의 역사 : 간단한 정치 개요”, “인권문제와 현황” 등의 주제에 대해 논의할 것입니다.

Title : A New Definition of a Museum – Its Role for Better World

How do you define a museum of a gallery? Museum professionals agreed that the museum definition does not reflect its role in the contemporary society in which more drastic changes and complicated conflicts. Museums are now challenged to take an action for better future. In this talk, a brief history of definitions of a museum and new role of a museum will be discussed.

Title : Reframing Difference, Creating Safe Spaces, Fostering Responsibility

Difference abounds, within families, schools, workplaces, and social lives. We sometimes judge other people without awareness. Then, How do we create where people can exist as they are? How do we encourage curiosity and openness to difference? In this talk, We will discuss a brief history of difference, strategies that foster safe spaces, and a method of encouraging individual responsibility in our behavior towards difference will be discussed.

Many Koreans do not know much about the Arab World, Therefor, Through these presentation, I will identify the countries that are part of the Arab nation and explain basic characteristics of the Arab nation. Complete the whole picture regarding to Arab nation from different aspects to fill the misunderstanding grabs which the media has created.
