광주국제교류센터

GIC Talk는 다양한 주제의 강좌를 통해 지역민과 거주 외국인이 상호 문화를 이해하고 소통하기 위한 공개강좌입니다. 2003년 9월 시작된 이 프로그램은 통역 없이 영어로 진행되며, 문화, 역사, 정치, 예술 등 다양한 주제로 강의가 이루어집니다.

제목 : 영어의 바다에서 헤엄치는 법

연사:  John Lezada

어떻게 영어를 배울 수 있을까요? 이 주제는 미국식 영어로 자녀를 양육하려는 한 부모의 시도에 대해 다룰 것입니다. 이 주제는 모든 학부모, 예비 학부모들에게 흥미로운 주제입니다. 뿐만 아니라 어린 학습자들을 위한 풍부한 영어 환경을 만들기 위해, 몇 가지 영감 가득한 아이디어를 원하는 영어 선생님들에게도 흥미로운 주제일 것입니다.

제목 ; 파키스탄의 역사적 상징 소개

파키스탄은 순수한 땅으로 알려져 있으며 불교, 힌두교, 조로아스터교, 이슬람교와 같은 다양한 종교와 함께 아리안, 인더스, 하라판 문명과 같은 불가사의한 고고학적 문화를 가지고 있습니다. 우리는 아직 전 세계가 연구하고 있는 파키스탄의 고대 역사에 대해 탐구해 볼 것이고, 고대 상징들을 발견하기 위해 함께 할 것입니다.

올해는 여러 가지 면에서, 여러 가지 이유로 힘들었습니다. 우리가 집단적으로 스트레스를 받을 때 어떤 식으로든 감정의 강도는 터지기 때문에, 나와 가까운 사람뿐만 아니라 먼 사람들에게까지 영향을 미칠 수 있습니다. 오해와 무력감을 안고 좌절과 분노에 대처하려면 어떻게 해야 할까요? 이 강연을 통해 판단 없이 듣는 것, 조언을 하는 방법, 변화를 추구하는 것에 대해 배워보고자 합니다.

제목 : 현대 러시아 정교회에서의 제 2차 세계대전의 기억

연사 : Christian Basar

나치 독일을 상대로 한 대애국전쟁(1941~5) 당시, 러시아의 교회들은 기독교인들이 적에 저항하고 승리를 기원하도록 독려했습니다. 이 분쟁을 대처하는 교회의 행보는, 현대 러시아 정부가 전쟁에서의 소련 전사들을 도덕적인 역할 모델로 지지하는 것과 일치합니다. 본 논문에서 연구된 종교적 역사 문서, 현대적 진술, 언론을 통해 비종교적인 소련은 파시즘의 폐해에 맞선 '기독교' 국가로 다소 변모하고 있음을 알 수 있습니다.

Pakistan is known as the land of pure, and it has various majestical archaeological icons like as Aryan, Indus, and Harappan civilization along with various religions like Buddhism, Hinduism, Zoroastrianism and Muslims. 

We are going to explore the ancient history of Pakistan which is yet discovered by the world and lets joining to discover ancient icons of Pakistan.

This year has been difficult on many levels and for many reasons. When we are collectively under stress, in one way or another this emotional intensity bursts out and influences those near and far. What can we do to deal with frustration and anger, with misunderstanding and helplessness? From this talk, let us learn how to listen without judgment, giving advice, or desire to change.

Title : The memory of World War II in the modern Russian Orthodox Church

Speaker : Christian Basar

In Russia, during the Great Patriotic War (1941-5) against Nazi Germany, the Church encouraged Christians to resist the enemy and pray for victory. The Church's memory of the conflict fits with the modern Russian government's remembrance, which upholds the war's Soviet fighters as moral role models. Through the religious historical documents (etc.) in this pater, the non-religious Soviet Union is somewhat turned into a "basically Christian" nation that fought the evils of fascism.
