To prevent the spread of COVID-19,
this year's Gwangju International Community Day will be held online and offline.
We are looking forward to your participation in this event.
1. Overview
- Event Name: The 27th Gwangju International Community Day (online, offline)
- Period: November 5 (Fri.) - 14 (Sun.)/
- Weekly Experience programs: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
- Participants: Local and international residents in Gwangju and Jeollanam-do
- Contents: Experience world’s cultures through online and offline.
- Host/ Organizer: Gwangju Metropolitan City/ Gwangju International Center

Global Cooking Class | Face-to-Face | 6 countries | Team members: max. 2 persons, at least one person must be able to speak Korean Role: Introduce one country’s culture, manage and decorate the classroom - What we provide: Subsidy of 350,000 won (including materials fee for 15 servings and classroom decoration items), cooking utensils, ※ The subsidy should include the servings for the 2 team members as well Cooking time: 60-80 minutes |
Global Culture Experience | Online (ZOOM) | 6 countries | Team members: max. 2 persons, at least one person must be able to speak Korean Roles: Introduce one country’s and operate the culture experience programs, prepare experience kits in advance - What we provide: subsidy of 400,000 won (must include 20 kits for 20 participants) ※ The subsidy should include the kits to run the program for the 2 team members as well Time: 60 minutes (a brief intro of the culture using MS PowerPoint 10 minutes, experience activity within 40 minutes, Q&A) You can purchase or make the experience package yourself (please make the kit with value of about. 10,000 won each) |
※ The Cooking classes will be held in 광주요리학원 (Gwangju Cooking Academy)
and The Culture Experience Programs will be held at the GIC.

※ Participants must attend a pre-training session in early October.
